According to Nielsen, Android OS has been the most popular operating system in the past 6 months. That means it has topped RIM and iPhone OS for the past 6 months by sheer number of users. This shows that the “open” Android system is really catching on. What it really shows is the decline of RIM’s market share. They’ve been on the decline considerably in the past 6 months and it seems that the Blackberry Torch isn’t helping. We’ll keep you updated on any future Nielsen statistics as they come in.
